SNAP Test 2024– All You Need to Know

SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude) Test is a national-university level Management Entrance Exam conducted by the Symbiosis International (Deemed University) Pune for Admission to MBA, MSc (CA), and MSc (SS) Programmes offered in its affiliated Institutes. willing students or aspirants can apply online from www.snaptest.org.

The aspirants need to register for SNAP Test and also register for institutes offering his/her choice programs by paying separate registration fees for each program and institute. If she/he will be shortlisted then need to attend the further admission process by each of these institutes individually.

SNAP Test 2022 – All You Need to Know

The application fee will be Rs. 1750/- for each attempt of SNAP 2021. which can be paid by online and demand draft. This includes SNAP Test Registration and Application Fee, for programs or institutes registration you have to pay 1000/- for each of the 15 Symbiosis Institutes.

SNAP Test 2022 – Eligibility Criteria

Those who are willing to appear into SNAP Test should be a graduate from any recognized / statutory University or Institution of National Importance with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes).

Candidates appearing for final year examinations can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes).

Note: Admission of such candidates will be provisional and will be canceled in the event of non-fulfillment of the above-stated criteria.

Those who have completed a qualifying degree from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). All foreign degrees/qualifications need to be verified from AIU by the candidate before seeking admission to any program of Symbiosis International University.

SNAP Test 2022– Paper Pattern

The University has released the Paper Pattern for SNAP Test 2022. However, they made a major change in the test structure which is Extra 5 Special Question which carries 2 marks each in the Quantitative, Data Interpretation, and Data Sufficiency section, and also the total number of questions is reduced to 110.

SNAP Test 2022 – Selection Process

Those who are willing to pursue the MBA program from Symbiosis International University, have to appear in the SNAP Test first, and then the results will be declared by the university which contains total marks and percentiles obtained by the candidate.

After that the cutoff will be declared by the respective Symbiosis Institutes, those who are above the cutoff will be invited for further rounds of the selection process i.e. GE-PI-WAT. And then the respective institutes will analyze the performance of the candidates in the SNAP Test and GE-PI-WAT to release the final selection list of the candidates.

These rounds will take place to assess the candidates on the basis of their communication skills, knowledge, and team leadership skills. You need to impress the panel of judges through these qualities and the ability to convey your ideas.

In Written Ability Test (WAT), you will have to write an essay of about 300-400 words on the given topic. This will help assess your thinking and writing ability.

Similarly, in Group Exercise (GE), you need to showcase your ability to work in a team and your ability to present your ideas orally.

Further, in the Personal Interview (PI), you may have to answer questions from your education specialization, gk, etc.

The final merit list for admission to the various MBA programs offered by SIU will be based on Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interaction (PI), and Writing Ability Test (WAT). SNAP test score out of 150 will scale down to 50. Candidates who secure their names in the final merit list will be further called for admission to an institute of their preference.They can check the respective institute website for information and dates of GE-PI-WAT.

Category-wise cut off for Merit List and Wait List will be displayed on the website of the respective institutes. Waitlist movement will depend upon the vacant seats available.

SNAP Test 2022 – Cutoff

SNAP Test 2020 cutoff will be announced by the 15 Symbiosis Institutes for MBA Programmes after SNAP Test Results. The cutoff for each campus of the Symbiosis depends upon the SNAP scoring pattern for the relevant admission cycle and the maximum SNAP score obtained by the candidates as well as the number of candidates scoring good scores.

The cutoff may go up and down as per the eligibility requirement, weightage awarded to the different parameters in the admission process applied by the Symbiosis Institutes.

What is the SNAP Test?
SNAP Test is one of the important national-level management entrance test conducted by Symbiosis International University Pune. SNAP Test is the mandatory entrance exam to gain MBA Admission into Symbiosis Institutes. Till 2016, it was a paper-based exam but it is conducting in online mode only.

Which all MBA Colleges accept SNAP Test Score?
SNAP Test Score is accepted by Symbiosis International (Deemed University) affiliated Institutes only. Under this University there is 16 MBA Institutes.

Where all these Symbiosis Institutes are located?
Out of 16 MBA Institutes, 02 Institutes are located in Bangalore (SIBM-B & SSMC), and 01 Institute located in three different cities which are Hyderabad (SIBM-H), Nagpur (SIBM-N), and Nashik (SIOM). And the rest the institutes are in Pune only.

Is there any Seat Reservation Policy?
Yes, there is some proportion of seats reserved for category (ST/SC) students. Here is the Reservation Policy of Symbiosis International University.

A. Within Sanctioned Seats

  • Scheduled Tribes (ST) : 7.5%
  • Differently Abled : 3%
