Established in 1991, International Maritime Institute (IMI) is approved by the DG Shipping under the Ministry of Shipping. It is graded as A1 ‘Outstanding’ by the Indian Register of Shipping. The Institute conducts nearly 20 pre-sea and post-sea courses along with a variety of value-added courses. For all-round training of the cadets, IMI has well-equipped workshops and labs with lathe machines, shaping machines, etc.

It has the latest shipboard working instrumentation and maritime teaching systems to meet the demands of dynamic technological environment of the industry.
