So one day, he planned and walked up to the door of that student and knocked. When the door opened, he saw a Mauritian student Beehary sleeping on the bed. His face was yellow and his eyes seemed to have drowned low. Dr. Mazumdar was stunned and puzzled.
When he turned to the boy for an explanation, the boy said, “Sir, I have an attack of jaundice and I’m feeling extremely weak. I cannot stand up, nor walk a few steps. A girl who belongs to the country brings me food. However, since ladies are not allowed to enter the boy’s hostel, she hands over the lunch box through the window.”
