Eligibility for MBA Programmed

  • Academic Qualifications- A candidate must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in bachelor’s from a recognised university or board. For some universities, a minimum of 40% marks are also acceptable in the general category.
  • Entrance Exam- In most colleges/universities, MBA entrance exams (CAT/MAT/XAT/GMAT) scores are required, but there are a few institutions which conduct their own entrance test or state-level test for MBA admission. So, this may vary as per college/university requirements.
  • Work Experience- For a regular MBA programme, work experience is not required, whereas for executive MBA courses, a candidate must have at least three years of professional experience.
  • Age Limit- There is no upper age limit for pursuing an MBA in India, but few entrance exams require an applicant to be 21 years old at the time of application.

Admission Process

  • Register- The applicants must register on their chosen college’s official website and fill out the admission form (some institutions may have application charges).
  • Submit Documents- Submit all the necessary documents like academic transcripts, entrance scorecard, statement of purpose, government-approved ID proof, passport-size photograph, etc.
  • Shortlisting Phase- After completing the application form and submission of all the documents, the college/university will shortlist all the eligible candidates to create a merit list. For merit lists, entrance scores, written tests, personal interviews, and other criteria are scrutinised.
  • Fee Submission- Once shortlisted, pay the tuition fee to confirm your admission.
